SEVEN EASY STEPS
It’s time to relax and kick back! Are you wondering how to hang a hammock chair swing indoors? If this is the case, then this is easy tutorial is perfect for you.
A hammock swing chair is extremely versatile because it can be hung in lots of different ways. Some prefer to use a traditional hammock chair stand or a tree branch, however one of the beauties of a hammock chair is that it can be hung from any ceiling.
Do not be afraid, hanging a hammock chair indoors, it is a very simple process and we will guide you from start to finish. Most hammock swing chairs have a spreader bar that distributes weight evenly, and will only need 1 anchor point for support.
BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
💡 Once you find your spot at home, make sure that there is enough space for you and your swing to move freely. Make sure you measure the distance to the surrounding walls. It is important to allow the corners of the hammock chair's wood spreader to be at least 2 ft. away from the surrounding walls.

🛠️ YOU WILL NEED:
- Drill & drill bits (wood OR concrete bit)
- Socket wrench or screwdriver for tightening screws
- Stud finder
- 1 S hook
- 1 stainless steel ceiling mount (round or diamond shape that can support 250-300 lbs)
- 2 spring snap hooks (approx. 3"- 4.5 ")
- 4 expansion bolts (concrete) OR 4 lag screws (wood)
- Stainless steel chain (#2 machine chain, straight link 325 lb) or manila rope that can support up to 300 lbs.
- 1 hammock swing chair (with wood spreader or one suspension point).
Find a sturdy beam or joist on the ceiling by using a stud finder. Make sure you use a pencil to mark both sides. It is extremely important that you drill directly into the middle of the joist or beam.
(Skip this step for concrete ceiling)
Draw the mount's holes location on the ceiling.
Drill 4 pilot holes on the dry wall/beam or concrete.
Install the ceiling mount using the 4 bolts or screws, depending on the surface. (You might need a socket ratchet wrench for bolts.)
💡 : We strongly recommend a ceiling mount vs. a eye hook because it will provide a stronger anchor point.
Attach 1 spring hook to the ceiling mount and hang the chain. Adjust chain (or rope) to the desired height.
Attach 1 spring hook and/or an S hook to the other end of the chain and then hang your hammock chair.
Note: Your Limbo Imports hammock swing has a reinforced steel eye that will give it extra security and stability.
STEP 7: Test your installation. Gradually, shift your weight into the chair. If it holds you, it means you have installed it correctly. Your hammock swing chair should be at least 3 feet away from the floor. Do not leave small children unattended.

Dear DC, if you have 2" beams, then you can use a diamond shaped ceiling mount that is a bit more narrow.
Your other option is using a round one, and using 2 wood screws that would go directly into the wood and 2 steel toggle bolt anchors fro the dry wall. In this case, do not exceed weight 250 lbs.
Dear Fazi, our mounts are very sturdy and can support up to 300 lbs. Ceilings beams are very strong and provide good support.
Is that just in a 2” nominal wide ceiling joist? What do you do if that’s all you have? I.e. no beam
